Cyber Security Key Focus of Northland Tech Day

Featured speaker MK Palmore, Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Cyber Branch, FBI San Francisco kicked off Northland’s first Technology Day with a sobering message about cyber security: California is ground zero for an attack because of the amount of high tech companies with highly prized data.
He went on to emphasize that cyber security is everybody’s concern, and there has to be a commitment from leadership. And finally, he reminded all of us that 50% of attacks involve phishing or a social component, so employee awareness is critical to defending against a breech.
After the keynote presentation, guests were treated to the latest technology developments from HID Global, Lenel, Milestone, ZK Access, Eyelock, Arecont Vision, Umbo, Software House, and FST Biometrics.
