Milpitas, California – Northland Controls, a global physical security integrator and managed services provider, has welcomed Adam Groom as Vice President of Sales.
Groom brings more than 15 years of experience and will be responsible for creating and overseeing Northland’s global sales process and strategy. Before joining Northland, he served as Senior Director of Global Accounts with S2 Security Corporation where he successfully helped grow the company 30% year over year from 2013 to 2018. Upon S2’s acquisition in 2018 by leading access control company, Lenel, Groom served as Regional Sales Director until his departure in 2020. During his time with S2 Security Corporation, Groom worked closely with Northland’s Managed Services department, giving him the familiarity and proficiency to focus on Northland’s GSOCaaS and CEMaaS offerings.
“We’re excited to have Adam join Northland. He is well respected within the industry for his values and sales approach and has built a great reputation with our team over the years. This marks an important stage in Northland’s development as we begin to launch a number of SaaS offerings and know that Adam is the right person to build a sales team around as we go to market,” says Northland CEO, Pierre Trapanese.
Upon graduating with his B.S. in Business Administration from University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business, Groom was one of ten participants invited to join Ingersoll Rand’s first ever Sales Leadership Program, instilling a passion for building relationships and creating strategies for continued growth.
“I am excited to bring a SaaS sales methodology to Northland and build a team that will contribute to Northland’s growth,” says Groom. “Northland has long been a leader and first to market with managed services, and the opportunity to be a part of an innovative company that shares my values was one I couldn’t pass up.”
